ABOUT ME

I am Juan Pais. I have over 10 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, and while my roots are in general content creation, in recent years I have focused my career strictly on my true specialties: editing, color grading, and VFX compositing.

My professional background goes beyond freelance work. I have had the opportunity to be part of some of the most prominent post-production houses in Spain. I worked as a compositor at Wonder & Rilet, combined compositing and color grading at UserT38, and focused exclusively on commercial color grading at Gradepunk. Much of this experience was forged in the advertising world, making color grading for commercial campaigns one of my strongest assets.

In the visual effects department, I am a versatile profile. Whether building complex node trees in Nuke or fine-tuning integrations and details in Fusion or After Effects, I know how to tackle everything from standard plate cleanup to the most demanding visual challenges to ensure a flawless result.

I am currently based in Madrid, but the operational flexibility of my work has allowed me to cross borders and participate in international projects based in London and Ireland. I bring the technical rigor and workflows of major studios while always maintaining the direct and problem-solving communication of an independent professional.
